Description: The Intern will be supervised by Chase Haller, Staff Attorney. The Housing Justice Program legal intern will assist with client communications, drafting pleadings, and attending Court hearings. They will have the opportunity to support landlord/tenant, foreclosure, and environmental court cases.
The goal of this program is to introduce an intern to the Helping Hoosier Homeowner’s Program, develop legal skills and provide a deeper understanding of the Clinic’s prophetic call to “Seek justice, defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow. (Isaiah 1:17).
Qualifications: Law students (1L, 2L or 3L) with experience or willingness to learn about the following areas of law: foreclosure, landlord tenant and consumer law are preferable but not required.
