Description: The intern will be supervised by Matt Gaudin, Staff Attorney for the CJP team. The intern will assist with current and prospective Bankruptcy cases, debtor creditor issues, guardianship, estate planning and more. Duties include legal research and writing, document review, and assisting with client intake.
The goal of this program is to introduce an intern to the Consumer Justice Program, develop legal skills and provide a deeper understanding of the Clinic’s prophetic call to “Seek justice, defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow. (Isaiah 1:17).
Qualifications: Law students (1L, 2L or 3L) should have the ability to learn quickly, work independently, and be comfortable with client interaction. Having prior experience or coursework with bankruptcy is helpful.
