Description: Assisting the Director of Immigrant Services by preparing client correspondence, drafting motions and responses, and doing research for asylum cases. Interns may assist with an immigration court case.
The goal of this program is to introduce an intern to the Immigrant Justice Program, develop legal skills and provide a deeper understanding of the Clinic’s prophetic call to “Seek justice, defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow. (Isaiah 1:17).
Qualifications: Law students (1L, 2L or 3L) or undergraduate students fluent in Spanish. Ability to work independently is essential and prior experience or coursework in immigration a plus.
