DACA Renewal Clinic Day

The Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic is hosting a DACA Renewal Clinic Day at St. Monica Catholic Church on Saturday, October 19th. At this event, we will have an attorney prepare your DACA renewal application forms (if you are eligible), and we will mail your application to Immigration (USCIS) shortly thereafter.

When you get your ticket to register for this event, please complete the checkout questions accurately in order to help with the process on the day of the event. On October 19th, please arrive at St. Monica at 9:45 AM to check in and fill out preliminary paperwork. The Clinic will charge a fee of $100 per client for the processing and mailing of your DACA renewal and related applications. This must be paid upon arrival in cash or by credit card or money order.

La Clínica Legal Cristiana del Vecindario (Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic) está organizando un evento de Renovaciones de DACA que va a ser en la Iglesia Católica de Santa Mónica el sábado, 19 de octubre. En este evento, un abogado preparará las formas para su solicitud de renovación de DACA (si usted es elegible), y enviaremos su solicitud a Inmigración (USCIS) poco después.

Cuando usted saque su ticket para registrarse, por favor responda de forma precisa a cada pregunta para ayudar con el proceso el día del evento. Favor de llegar a Sta. Mónica para las 9:45 AM para registrarse y para llenar papeles preliminares. La Clínica cobrará un honorario de $100 por cliente para tramitar y enviar su solicitud de renovación de DACA y las solicitudes relacionadas. Este honorario se tiene que pagar a la llegada en efectivo, con tarjeta de crédito o con money order (giro postal).

DACA Renewal Clinic Day | One-Day Volunteer Event | 1 CLE

We need volunteers! 
On Saturday, October 19th, the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic is hosting a DACA Renewal Clinic Day at St. Monica Catholic Church, in partnership with the Nicholas H. Noyes Jr. Memorial Foundation. During this Clinic Day, we will assist eligible recipients in renewing their DACA status, help participants explore other possible immigration relief eligibility, and inform participants of the legal rights they have regardless of immigration status. We will need the help of Volunteer Attorneys, Law Student Volunteers, and General Volunteers. Light breakfast foods and lunch will be provided for all volunteers, who are asked to check in at 8:45 AM and may leave around 12:30 PM.

This training will cover topics such as upholding lease agreements, statutory tenant and landlord obligations, common issues for low-income tenants, and eviction procedures and case strategies.

This course deals directly with legal issues facing low-income tenants and information on how to best evaluate and defend evictions or enforce landlord obligations.

Naturalization Day | 1 CLE | One-Day Volunteer Event

Naturalization Day is an opportunity to assist immigrant neighbors in the naturalization process. We will provide a 1 hour CLE training for attorneys on how to appropriately complete immigration forms N-400 Application for Naturalization and I-912 Request for Fee Waiver. After this training, attorneys and other volunteers will be able to assist pro bono clients applying for U.S. citizenship.

Volunteer opportunities are available for attorneys, law students, Spanish interpreters, and general volunteers.

DACA Renewal Clinic Day

Until further notice U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has resumed accepting requests for deferred action under the DACA program. This is due to a recent court ruling about the program.

Individuals who were previously granted DACA, regardless of the date of expiration, are encouraged to come to the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic this Saturday, January 20th, between 10:00am and 3:00pm for our DACA Renewal Clinic Day, an event sponsored by Ice Miller, LLP. Legal assistance through the Clinic is free, but clients must provide the $495 filing fee for USCIS. Contact Em Bricker at ebricker@nclegalclinic.org to register.
