“Defend the weak and the fatherless;
uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed.
Rescue the weak and the needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked." -- Psalm 82:3-4

In case you missed it, this September, in advance of our 25th anniversary Justice for All Gala, we featured important supporters who help make our work possible, as well as some of our favorite clients!

On the blog, we shared messages from our JFA Title Sponsors College Park Church, Barnes & Thornburg, and Tabernacle Presbyterian Church. We then featured a powerful message from Executive Director Chris Purnell entitled, “What Story Are You Telling Yourself?”

On social media, we met Gloria and Arturo, who needed help with how to respond to an IRS audit. We also shared an article on the effects of Indiana's Second Chance Laws and the work of Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic's Expungement Help Desk in this area! And we invited all those who are interested in renewing their DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) to attend our free DACA Renewal Clinic Day on Oct. 19 at St. Monica Catholic Church. Register here now.

At the beginning of October, because of your incredible generosity, we met our fundraising goal of $200,000 at our 25th anniversary Justice for All Gala! From our Board Chair Matthew Barr, our Executive Director Chris Purnell, our Engagement Team, and the rest of the Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic staff, we say THANK YOU!

The need for civil legal services in our community is greater than ever, but we are so blessed by each and every member of Team Justice for supporting this important work. Thank you for caring about justice for our vulnerable neighbors. And praise God for His provision!

On the evening of our Justice for All Gala, we featured a video story of one of our Victim Justice Program clients, a woman of great strength named Daisy Musonda:

Please stay tuned as we release our Justice for All Gala photos very soon!

This October, we are celebrating our faithful supporters. We will share stories about our donors, prayer partners, volunteers, and community partners. We would not exist without YOU!
