“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion,
and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God." -- 2 Corinthians 9:11

In case you missed it, this October, we celebrated our faithful supporters, sharing stories about our donors, prayer partners, volunteers, and community partners. We would not exist without YOU!

On the blog this month, we met three families who are committed to the mission of the Clinic, giving of their time and money. We met the Noelle family, the Zaloudek family, and Terri Morris Downs and her husband.

On social media, we introduced you to an attorney named Lisbet, who sought asylum; a woman named Stephanie, who needed help with her landlord; and a young man named Caleb, who thought his dreams of medical school were ruined thanks to a conviction on his record. We also shared the results of our latest DACA Renewal Clinic Day, when we helped 28 people complete their renewal applications!

This month was also bittersweet, as we said goodbye to our longtime Executive Director Chris Purnell. On the blog, he shared his farewell message. And on social media, we shared our own farewell message to him:

This past week was filled with laughter, celebration, and a few tears as we said goodbye to Chris Purnell, who has served as our Executive Director for the past four years. Chris will be taking on a new role as a tax law advisor to ministries throughout the country, and his last day was yesterday.

Although it is hard to say goodbye, we support Chris wholeheartedly and know he will do an incredible job in his new position. While a search committee works diligently to identify our next Executive Director, Staff Attorney Chase Haller will serve in the role of Interim Executive Director. Under his and our Board's leadership, we are confident that God will continue to guide the Clinic, as He has done so faithfully for the past 25 years.

Now, we want to share with you some of the special moments we've enjoyed together as a staff team this week--from Chris' surprise party, to our staff all dressing in the same hunter green color Chris often wore when he first started at the Clinic as a law student over eleven years ago.

Please pray with us for Chris as he moves into this new phase of his career and for Chase as he guides us through this period of transition. Please also join us this coming Monday as we share Chris' farewell message on the blog.

Chris, you have left an indelible mark on all of us. The Lord blessed us and the work of the Clinic mightily through the gifts of your strong character, kind spirit, and ready mind. Thank you for everything you've given to us. We love you.
