"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,
the evidence of things not seen." -- Hebrews 11:1

In case you missed it, this January, we said farewell to our 25th anniversary year and we set our sights ahead. In 2020, we will continue to explore and share our vision for the future of the Clinic. We have faith that the Lord will guide us through this time of new beginnings. Thank you for walking alongside us. We wish you the most beautiful and blessed new year!

On the blog this month, we shared our Eight Clinic Values. We also introduced you to Sarah Doak, our new Fort Wayne office coordinator. On social media, we shared the story of Charles and his fiancé, whose home was damaged during a storm; we met Terence, who needed help with a bankruptcy; and we learned more about Ruby, a single mother who received assistance from our Low Income Taxpayer Clinic.

We closed our first staff meeting of 2020 by praying together over the coming year. We prayed for our clients, both past and future; we prayed for each other and our families; we prayed for our city and our neighbors; we prayed for our supporters and our Clinic leadership; and we prayed for the Lord to guide us in all that we do and say.

This February, we will be celebrating the work of our many volunteers. To honor your kindness and generosity of spirit, Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic is hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Open House from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM on Friday, February 28 at Trinity Episcopal Church. There will be delicious food catered by Red Habanero and we’ll be giving away small gift bags. We invite all of our volunteers to join us for this fun and free celebration. Please RSVP by February 24 for you and a guest by clicking on the image below. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
