Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic offers free legal advice and counsel through our general and immigration consultations. During this triage process, you’ll meet with an attorney to share your legal issue and desired outcome. They will listen to your case, assess your needs, and provide thoughtful legal guidance on next steps. Dates, times, and locations of consultations are dependent on what kind of consultation you need. For more details about consultations click on the listed items below.

  • General consultations are first come-first-served at the Clinic and the Shepherd Community Center.

    Clinic:
    Every Monday (Excludes holidays)
    9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

    Shepherd Community Center:
    First Saturday of each month (Excludes Holidays)
    9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

    Please note that consultations are triage-based and dependent on attorney availability.

    No immigration matters are discussed at general consultations. We do not offer consultation regarding criminal matters.

    No further service beyond a basic consultation will be provided. Please bring any documents related to your legal issue.

  • The first Wednesday and third Tuesday of every month (Excludes holidays)
    10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

    Immigration consultations are by appointment only.

    To schedule an appointment, please call the intake line at (317) 676-9575 at 9:00 a.m. on the Monday before the scheduled Wednesday consultation day you hope to attend. Four (4) slots are available.

    Please bring any documents related to your immigration issue. We do not offer consultation regarding criminal matters.

  • The second & fourth Wednesday of the month (Excludes holidays)
    1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    We provide two (2) in-person consultation sessions each month for walk-in visitors. No appointment is necessary as individuals are assisted on a first-come, first-served basis. These sessions are exclusively for veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
