IRS Collections: The Collection Process and Collection Alternatives

Tax season is here! Join the Clinic's Director of Tax and Economic Justice to explore important tax legal themes. This virtual CLE will discuss how the IRS collects outstanding tax liabilities and the process it uses. It will also discuss the following collection alternatives: (1) Installments Agreements; (2) Currently Not Collective Status; and (3) Offers in Compromise.

Presenter Bio
Matthew Gaudin is an attorney at Neighborhood Christian Legal Clinic, where he is the director of the low-income taxpayer clinic. He received his B.A. from Indiana University – Bloomington in 2009 and his J.D., summa cum laude, from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2012. There he was a member of Indiana Law Review and the Christian Legal Society.
